Approved Apps/Extensions Lists

Below are lists of the approved iPad apps and Chromebook extensions. These lists will be updated as new apps & extensions are approved. Before you fill out an app request form, check the lists below.

iPad Apps: If your iPad app is on the approved list then you just need to send a helpdesk request  to have the app pushed out to your iPads. Please identify the names/numbers of the iPads to which you want the app added. 

Chromebook Extensions: if your extension is on the approved list then you just need to download it from the Chrome Webstore. Your students can also just Download it from the Chrome Webstore as well. 

 

Loading an Audio File to Google Classroom

Whether you are doing a downloadpodcast or a musical performance, loading an audio file to google
classroom is a very simple task no matter what device you are using.

If you are using a smart phone/tablet, download the Google Classroom App before completing the steps below:

Android Voice Recorder to Google Classroom

On your Android device go to Tools

  1. In tools, open your voice recorder
  2. Make a Voice recordingandroid
  3. After you have made the voice recording click “share”
  4. Share your recording with your drive
  5. Give your recording a name
    Open the google classroom app
  6. Click on your classroom
  7. Find the assignment & click on the assignment heading
  8. At the bottom of the assignment click on “add”
  9. Choose your voice recording from your drive and click “select”
  10. Once it has attached, click “turn in”

 

iPhone/iPad  Voice Memos to Google Classroom

  1. Record yourself in voice memos
  2. Save your recording as your name
  3. Click on the share button (rectangle with an arrow pointing up)
  4. Click on the Google Classroom icon.
  5. Choose the assignment to attach the recording to (all class assignments will be listed, look closely!)
  6. Click the Attach button
  7. Return to Google Classroom and click Turn In.

 

Motorola Phones

  1. Download the smart voice recorder app onto your phone
  2. Make a Voice recording

  4. Share your recording with your drive
  5. Give your recording a name
  6. Open the google classroom app
  7. Click on your classroom
  8. Find the assignment & click on the assignment heading
  9. At the bottom of the assignment click on “add”
  10. Choose your voice recording from your drive and click “select”
  11. Once it has attached, click “turn in”

If you are using a desktop computer to record yourself, you need a microphone and Quicktime.

Desktop Computer Users

  1. Record yourself in Quicktime (Open Quicktime, Click File -> New Audio Recording, Click Red Circle)
  2. Save recording. (Click, File -> Save.)download
  3. Login to Google Classroom: www.classroom.google.com
  4. Click on Open in the Assignment.
  5. Click on Add, File.
  6. Choose the saved file from your computer.
  7. Click, Turn In.

Mini Tech Training Sessions 2016

Recently LMTSD has been running a series of Mini Tech Training Sessions for teachers at all the buildings throughout the district. The sessions were created based on teacher feedback and suggestions.
